Ducati factory riders Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia have praised the evolution of MotoGP stewarding under Simon Crafar in 2025. They were called to race direction after their contact during the Italian Grand Prix, but the meeting aimed at discussion rather than punishment. Bagnaia noted a positive shift in approach compared to the past, with a focus on understanding before making judgments. Marquez also appreciated the improved interactions with the steward panel, emphasizing the importance of constructive conversations to clarify situations. Despite the praise for handling their incident, there are concerns that Franco Morbidelli’s penalty for an incident involving Maverick Vinales was too lenient. Morbidelli, however, remains unfazed and dedicated to racing.
